This past weekend I was in Las Vegas. I was actually in Vegas from Wednesday the 7th to Monday the 12th. With a baby one month old it was tough for this new Dad to be away. I even missed changing diapers. I really don’t want to miss a minute of Eva’s life. Going to work is tough and what is even tougher is that I travel as part of my job.
So what to do now that I’m going to be away from home for days at a stretch. I can only say that I am so glad that we live in the times that we do. Being able to communicate with my wife through a web cam or with a cell phone makes things much easier. And they can keep track of my comings and goings when I post to my blog as well as when I use services like Utterz. And Utterz is great for mobile blogging, which came in handy this week because I had no Internet in the hotel room.
I was able to spend some time talking with A & E over the webcam on Sunday. By Sunday I was dying to get home and still had to wait till my flight took off at 11:15pm. But again, lucky to live in the times that we do I was able to use my iPod and my Zune to keep all of my pictures of Eva so that I could look at them as a slide show. Yeah, I love being a technogeek father.

The computerized voice is weird. But your daughter is so cute! She has so much hair!

Thanks for letting me know that. I need to go back and add sound to each of those ones. The computerized voice is a weird thing but it makes it possible to hear utterz through the phone if they are text only.

Thanks very much Kristin, Eva is such a love and I have a bunch of things I want to make sure and do when I have to travel so that she knows daddy is thinking of her.
