I have been so slack here on this blog, that is because Eva has been keeping us so busy. I get 2 hours minimum to spend with her each night before she goes to bed, then spend time with Allison and then try and post to a blog, unfortunately I don’t always pick this one.

Eva is walking now, she’s doing pretty well with it, even better than the video below which was shot this Saturday. She is much more steady on her feet and she picks up and carries things all over the place.

Happy Birthday Eva!

My Daughter Eva turned One today. In a whirlwind year this kid went from laying around not doing much of anything to being the queen butt scootah of the house. Really, she took the title from Allison in a heated race. And with any birthday it is time to celebrate. We celebrated by taking Eva to Red Robin for her 1st solid meal sans any baby food. She had apples slices and half a burger. I helped her out with the other half. She even had a bit of a fry minus the Fry Sauce that I made.

The image above is from Brian Anderson of Dog Eat Doug. I did a review of his comic compilation and he sent me this sketch for Eva’s Birthday. What a great guy.

9 Short Days

In nine short days Eva will be 1 year old. I’m not sure how this will hit me but I will probably be crying as she is plowing her face into her first piece of cake. I can’t believe that this tiny baby has grown to be such an independent little toddler. She is smart and beautiful and everything a father could wish for in a daughter. She’s becoming much more interested in books and likes us to read the same ones over and over. Yesterday when I got home and picked her up from my mom’s house she scooted across the room holding a book. She wanted me to read it to her. That was really cool. So there will be many more book reviews coming. I’m working on a possible Virtual 1st Birthday Party for Eva at her party on the 19th. So you actually have to wait 18 days before you see the Birthday stuff on this blog.
