Most are written for girls, with girls as the heroine. The more boyish books are horror or other stuff which I don't think a little boy is ready to read. If he can be scared by a plastic frog on the kitchen floor how can he read something about vampires?

Laura,
How old is the boy? There was a great series of books when I was growing up about Henry Higgins or Huggins, I loved those books. They are older and might not be in print anymore but they were good ones. I guess it depends on how old the boy is.
