Allison and I have been giving serious thought to cloth diapers for our second child (no news to report – don’t get excited). In our research for cloth diapers we ran across Cloth Couture Diapers. I liked how cute they were and I asked Allison Vaughn the owner and creator of Cloth Couture Diapers if I could get a sample to try out and then do a review and giveaway on this blog. She was totally game so she sent us a credit and we chose the diaper we wanted. We picked the large Chopsticks Please one. It was so different and fun.

Allison put Eva into this diaper one morning and let her run around the house wearing it. Even though this was something very different for her she took no noticed and went about the morning playing around till she wet the diaper. We didn’t realize that we needed a cover for this. We should have read the Cloth 101 FAQ on Cloth Couture’s website.

Allison Vaughn makes the diapers and they are so well crafted. Everything I’ve read so far has mentioned the excellent craftsmanship and great customer service. Allison Vaughn is really making a name for herself in the world of cloth diapering. I’m pretty sure that cloth will be the way to go for us for baby #2. Cloth Couture Diaper Giveaway

With a few false starts it looks like Spring is finally here. This is one of my favorite times of year because it means we can finally leave the house without being all bundled up, wearing boots and hats. We can now go off to the local parks and zoos. At the local parks we can play on the playground equipment with Eva, she is a big fan of slides. She also likes the swings but we’ve not been doing much swinging lately. The last time she went was her 1st birthday. (Which, coincidentally, feels like the last time I posted to this blog.)

Dad Blogs is a fan of Springtime as well. They are having a whopper of a contest. Dad Blogs has teamed up with Kid’s Creations to give away the Three Ring Adventure. (pictured below)

Growing up I remember having a swingset in the backyard. It was secured into the ground with concrete. Did you know that over time that gets loose and when you are a kid trying to swing as high as you can you can actually pull the concrete out of the ground. I certainly hope that Eva won’t try something like that, we were dangerous kids back in those days. What I do hope is that if we win this prize Eva will enjoy spending more time in her own back yard playing and having adventures. I think a playset like this one from Kid’s Creations would be awesome because there is just so much to do on it. I’m sure our place would be a favorite among all of Eva’s friends.

I could capture all the fun times with the Canon SD1100 powershot that Dad Blogs is throwing into the overall prize package. Not that I need another camera but I could upgrade my old SD800is.

A Magnetic Holiday Shopping List was found

Allison is the one with the planner and she needs one. She is involved in a ton of enrichment programs for Eva and for herself. In one week she visits the elderly at a local nursing home, goes to knitting classes (she knits incredible stuff too and if she’s get her etsy site up I would promote it). She also takes Eva to swimming lessons at the Y, trips to local parks and play dates with her mom’s group. Already the weekly schedule is packed.

Allison has a momAgenda and she loves it. We sit down each Saturday or Sunday and plan out the meals for the week and go over things that are going on. She loves the clear front because she has some great photos of Eva on the front, like the one above. Keeping Track of Everything

Eva is 13 months old and I probably have 13,000 digial photos of her not to mention movies and blog posts. All of that data needs to be protected. Right now I have it on an external hard drive and I have a backup one for photos as well. But it is not enough. I want a specific set of drives that just back up photos of Eva and any future kids.
